Growing up in an 1800s Federal-style home in North Greenbush, there was always something that needed to be repaired. I spent most of my early years following around my father, a union electrician and generally handy guy, helping him with various household projects. He taught me everything that he learned throughout both his 40 years working in the trades and the 20+ years he spent keeping my childhood home in tip-top shape. I soaked it all up like a sponge and was always looking to not only learn something new, but to become very proficient at it. Repairing and maintaining this home with my father, gave me a well rounded education in various skills including roofing, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, painting and drywall, plastering, masonry, and of course, electrical work, which I then used to start my own career in the trades. The most important things that I learned from my father, however, were to always do the job right the first time, even if it costs a little more, to put quality first, and to consistently take pride in your work.

MY NAME IS Justin
I grew up watching my father, a union electrician, fix appliances, cars, and renovate homes. Assisting my father turned into many years working in various trades, including welding and metal fabrication, general contracting, commercial and residential painting and hi-tech coatings, wet and dry media blasting & even auto and heavy equipment maintenance. Founding Sugar Maple Construction has allowed me to share my breadth of knowledge with customers throughout Upstate New York. Creating happy clients, helping their home and business projects come to life, and leaving my mark of craftsmanship for generations to come is why I love what I do!
